We have been growing willow on the farm since 1999 as bio mass fuel. Since we started growing the willow we have learnt to love it for its many versatile uses. This ranges from the structures that can be made from it to the fun you can have playing amongst it!

Willow Weaving Courses

Our willow weaving courses are suitable for all skill levels from beginners to seriously crafty folk! All of our courses are delivered within our willow field enabling you to select and cut your own willow to then hand craft your chosen pieces.

 

We are currently offering the following weaving courses for 2017:

Beginners

Our sell-out beginners course teaches you the basic skills to make two of your very own willowy pieces, a willow wreath and living willow heart. As well as weaving, you will also experience selecting and cutting your willow from the crop itself.   (approx 2.5 hours)

Obelisks & Angels

This course takes on a range of skills, with an added level of challenge. Begin by learning how to make a basic obelisk, then advance into making a stunning willow angel.  

(approx 4 hours - please bring packed lunch)

10th February 10-13.30pm

Den Building

Ever fancied a willow den in your garden? Come and learn how to create a gorgeous willow igloo.  We will take you through the steps of designing your den, preparing the ground, cutting the willow and of course creating the structure itself.  (approx 4 hours please bring packed lunch)

Professional Willow Installations

Whatever the job, big or small we are on hand to create your perfect willow sculptures. All projects include a free site visit and consultation.

Living Sculptures include - Tunnels, Igloos, Wigwams, Archways, Arbours, Fedging and Animals.

(Living Structures root best in the winter months - so planting usually takes place between November and March)
